From late April to late September, it can be seen throughout Munakata city except the islands. This species includes the Kanto type, which has no white belt in the back, and the Kansai type, which has it, but only the Kansai type inhabits in Kyushu. When you stop on the leaves, always open the folds and stop. Other celery butterflies have larger abdomen than moths and are easily mistaken for moths, but this species looks like a butterfly. It does not live on the islands.
