Places and times seen in Munakata city

In Munakata it is a traveling bird, and it can be observed at the time of the spring and autumn migration. You can observe around Munakata Okinoshima, Geojima, Satoyama area, but there are not many opportunities.

Characteristic

Total length 20 cm. Male and female are almost same color.
Eyebrow spots from the forehead, the underside below white is white, the top from the top of the head is reddish brown. The wings are dark brown, the feathers are light brown, and the overpass is black. The belly from the flank is pale orange brown.
Female, white part of forehead is narrow, grayish. The feathers on the abdomen are dark brown, and they become scaled.
The beak and legs are dark brown, and the iris is dark brown.

Habit

Flying from the flat land flying in an open place with shrubs in the mountains. Shake to live with marvelous territory, turn the tail feathers up and down, left and right. Eat various living things such as lizards, frogs, and insects.

distribution

It flew north of Kyushu as a summer bird. It lives in bright forests such as riparian forests of forests from forests, forests in agricultural lands, grasslands with shrubs, but has drastically declined in recent years. Partly overwintering in the Nansei Islands.
It breeds in the eastern part of Siberia and overwinter in the East China Sea, the coastal part of the South China Sea, the Indochina Peninsula, the Malay Peninsula, Sumatra Island, Java Island, Borneo Island, the Philippines, the Indian Subcontinent and so on.
