Blacksmith Tool Fukuoka Prefecture Munakata City Morning Machi Yamanouchi Morning Machi 5 and 6 Mounds Excavation

Description
● In an emergency survey accompanying an agricultural infrastructure improvement project in 1983, 22 large and small tumuli distributed under rice fields were excavated. Tumulus No. 5 was the first tomb to be built in the group, and has a stone hole room with a return hole in the center of a 15m diameter circular tomb. The blacksmith tool was excavated from the rear chamber, and the iron forceps were large, 47 cm long. The hammer has three points, large and small. The large one is 21.4cm long and weighs 3650g. During the latter half of the 6th century, these tumuli were buried in Asamachiya, where people involved in ironware making were buried.
