日当たりのよい農道の脇や林のふちなどに見られる。「細葉沙参」と書くが、細い葉ばかりではなく、卵形の葉も多い。葉も花も＊輪生するように葉をひろげ、花を垂らす。花は青紫色の鐘形で、先がつぼまり、めしべが長く突き出す。野坂や朝町、山田などにある。花期8～10月。
